Rare Earth
Canasia has 7,198 contiguous acres located in Northern Quebec, approximately 100km south of Kuujjuaq. The claims are in close proximity to Commerce Resources' (CCE -- TSX.V) Eldor Rare Earth Prospect. At the Eldor Property, Commerce's 2010 exploration program led to the discovery of a significant new rare earth element deposit known as the Ashram Deposit. The Ashram Deposit is a large tonnage rare earth discovery and is ranked as one of the largest rare earth deposits outside of China. Historic exploration results indicate considerable potential for carbonatite-hosted niobium and tantalum mineralization .Commerce announced 1.72% TREO over 215.30 metres in their first hole at the Eldor (August 20, 2010)
Canasia is planning a work program on this prospect in 2012.
